Description: Doorkeeper or rather "The Hunchback Doorkeeper of the Rectilinear Light" protects spiritual truth. The white partially covered square on the right side of the image stands for recognizing all enlightment is first an intellectiul concept or construct whose purpose is the transcendence of the intellect itself. The first real step to transcendence is the irrational leap of faith. That is why the Doorkeeper is not really a hunchback but an Angel whose shepards staff (or staff of Power) is part of the construct that leads to the reclineanear light.

The angel has no feet to show that he is not of the material world. The wings of Doorkeeper are hidden to create the illusion of the Hunchback to scare away the fearful, shallow and arrogant. In other words you have to use the intellect to go beyond the intellect.
