Hopeless Romantic
On the threshold of new realities
That are older then time itself,
     I find myself,
Not quite as I expected I would be, Considering my circumstances.
I have no feelings of awe
     As one should have.
          I guess.
When one is near
      His truth.
Nor do I feel
      Smug.
And self-assured of future recognition
     From that lame animal
          Called society.
But instead I feel
      Calm,
     Love,
And near.
   O so near
        Completion.
