Description: The artist is perceiving the Pieta. Around the left shoulder of the artist is a shape composed of yellows, browns and oranges with the red ribbon shapes going around it. The blue face tht is looking off the side is the guardian angel. The spirit, that sense of presence that hopefully guides us through our lives.

He is staring at the Pieta apparition which is the ultimate expression of the compassion and love of the relationship between God and humanity. The suffering of sacrifice. Behind the artist on the easel is an abstract looking thing that bears little resemblance to the apparition that he is perceiving. This is saying that unfortunately every artist has an ego lens that takes the creative urge or motivation and alters the images or ideas, taking on the personal epression of the artist.

On the hand is strapped an angel which represents the Dali idea that unless ones hand is guided by an angel, all the social ego games you play are meaningless.
