Description: I was inspired to do this piece when reading the book "Black Elk Speaks" by John Niehardt. I painted this from an actual photo of Black Elk in prayer. I put him on a cloud of spirit and I turned his chulupa into an amorphus, transforming tree of life, with nine new born earths emerging from the cosmic eye at the center of this transforming spiritual tree. The nine earths symbolize the completion of "Earthly Spiritual Evolution.
